Aimee Erickson

Voice Teacher

Aimee Erickson has worked as an actor around Chicago doing regional productions of FAME, RENT, Big Fish, and The Next Thing You Know among others. She serves as a company member for Refuge Theatre Project in Chicago as well. She moved to New York in 2015, is excited to be teaching and performing around New York, and is honored to be working with Kevin and Molly at NYC Vocal Studio.

Where are you from? Northfield, Minnesota

Where did you go to undergrad? UIC B.A Theatre Performance. NYU Steinhardt M.M Vocal Performance and Pedagogy

What are your musical influences? All kinds. Where do I start? Anything from Aretha Franklin to Janis Joplin and then Alanis Morissette to Smashing Pumpkins. Musical Theatre of all kinds including a lot of Liza.

What’s your favorite part about teaching/coaching/doing your job? When students learn the flexibility of their voice. I love watching a student be surprised by their capabilities. It’s so fun to watch them discover!
